Remaining Cautiously Optimistic

I hope you all are enjoying the blog and site. We appreciate all your support during these times.

I am sure everyone has heard that Alberta is planning on opening the province again. We fall under the Stage 1 category.

Stage 1 starts Thursday, May 14. We have mixed feelings about this.

We are anxious as all of you, to get back to normal, whatever the new normal is. However, we don’t know what that entails.

Sonia & I are constantly checking sites & consulting with one another to see how and when we can re-open. It won’t be the same for a while.

We are lucky enough to be able to control the traffic in our store. But, we are going to be in touch with health representatives & the Alberta government. We spoke with the government today (Monday, May 4). No real answers. As of now, there are no real set guidelines, minus the general rules and regulations we all have been following (I hope all of you are!). Mandatory gloves & masks for each visit? How long do clothing that has been worn by someone stay off the floor? Those are questions we need to look into before making any decision.

We had set more stricter cleaning guidelines before closing the doors for social distancing. Those will remain in place.

As of now, we do not have an open date. We will keep you posted on the next stage for us. We do remain hopeful. But, we will not open until it’s safe for all of us to.

 Each day brings us closer to be fully functioning. That gives us hope. In the meantime, stay in touch, check out the site, enjoy some down time.
